Under the circumstances...

This is just a note to let you know that this is my journal. I say things here that I might not say out loud to friends or family. I don't expect anyone to respond althought it is nice. I myself don't always have time to read or respond to my friends blogs. If you want to comment on something that you read, please us the Chatter at me? link. I will definitely see that where I might not see it in your blog. I try to do the same for others that have such links. Hugs and kisses to you all. Jen C

I promise I am not a procrastinator. I just don't want to do it right now!

Karen: I can't speak for everyone, but my husband attacks me when he walks in the door. *G* Unless I attack him first. It is a great time, because the kids are still down from their nap and we are both not too tired like we usually are at night. BTW, I don't know when you got married, due to me being gone for so long, but Congratulations!! I like the picture.

::sigh:: Everytime I visit your blog Janette, I am envious of your beautiful Sunflowers. I just adore those in any shape or form. My house is full of them. I also crack up at the 'stupid warning labels'. Have you ever heard of Bill Engvall? He does that song Here's Your Sign. Anyway, I love artists like him and Jeff Foxworthy and Weird Al Yankovic. These guys keep me in stitches.

Hey Carol, I never did say Congratulations about the baby. She looks adorable. I know all about the no time, with 3 of my own. It does get better, some. But isn't it wonderful to be a Mother? I also had a C-Section. Actually, I had 3. One with each of my boys. For some reason, I had no trouble getting pregnant, and no trouble holding my pregnancy, but when it came time for me to give birth.... Uh uh, no way. My body just didn't want to let each of those wonderful babies go. 1st one was a planned C-Section because the baby was too big for me to give birth to, 2nd one was Lots and lots of induced labor with a C-Section followup, and the 3rd one was a planned C-Section because I had had 2 previous and just wanted a 3rd.

Bonnie: I have had a panic attack. I had been depressed, actually was on meds for it, and was doing pretty good. One day, at work no less, I was in the copy room copying. Next thing I know, I am curled up on the floor shaking like a leaf. Took me a while to get over it too. I was a bundle of shaking energy for about an hour. Kinda one of those dazed out incoherent things. Thankfully my boss knew what was going on, and was able to help. Another time I just started crying at home and couldn't stop. Someone had to talk me down from that one. I haven't had one in a long time now. That was back in '92 or '93. It gets better. Truly it does. I hope things get better for you soon.

On Sears hairdryer: "Do not use while sleeping."

Can you believe that someone probably actually did fall asleep at one time while drying thier hair? I mean why else would they think that we are moronic enough to need this advice. Sometimes I wonder about people.

Anyway, it has been beautiful here. The weather is wonderful enought to let the boys go outside and play for as long as they like. Unfortunately that means that I have to be out there with them, and my allergies are going haywire. So, I am drugged to the gills with Tylenol Allergy and Sinus medication. ::sigh:: the things that we do for our kids. Nothing much else going on. I am getting caught up on my Trixie reading. I am really into Roswell right now too, and so that is taking up some time.

I did spend 2 hours on Sat. in traffic school. I got my first ticket a while ago and was able to go to the class and not have it put on my record. I actually really enjoyed it. I learned more than I thought I would and the teacher was very funny. Did you know that in the state of Tennessee, a child doesn't have to sit in a car seat after the age of 4. My oldest is 4 but he barely weighs over 30 lbs. He is definately in a car seat still. Well it isn't a car seat exactly. It looks like a bucket seat with a 5 point harness. He will stay in that until he can comfortably sit in a regular seat belt. Speaking of seat belts, do you know what the law about that is in your state? I didn't. I knew that it was a law that seat belts had to be worn and that if I wasn't wearing one, I could get a ticket, but I didn't know that if I another adult was sitting up front and wasn't wearing one then they would get a ticket also! I also didn't know that if a child under the age of 18 was sitting up front that I (the driver) would get a ticket for that child! In the backseat, anyone under 18 must wear a seat belt but over 18 you don't have to. But in the back of a pick up truck anyone can sit without any kind of restraint at all. That is just plain stupid to me.

Also did you know, that it isn't safe to have anything loose in the back of a truck for weight in winter? And that you shouldn't have your groceries sitting in the seat. They should be in the trunk or the floor board. The reason: If you are in a car wreck while driving at 35 mph and a 10 lb object is thrown at you...? It takes on the weight of 350 lbs. Just imagine that coming at the back of your head! Especially if it is a can of green beans (I know that that is lighter than 10 lb, but that metal?) or a log in the back of the truck for weight!!

Ok, enough preaching. It's just when I learn something, I want to share it with everyone *G*. I would recommend anyone with a child getting a learners permit take them to the class that I took. It was very informative and they will learn a lot. Yes, I know it was a class for people who have gotten tickets, but we had a mother and daughter the did it. The daughter was turnign 15 and getting her restricted learners permit, and the mother wanted her to take the class before she drove. Do you know statistically how many people out there are driving without insurance? Do you know that 95% of the class thought that they were good drivers, and 50% of that 95% had been involved in an accident? Ok, ok, I promise no more.

I am going back to reading Trixie fic. I really need to get caught up.
